小學部

課程設置

學校以“國家課程第一”為原則，按照國家課程標準實施教學計劃，我們秉承著“讓學生在思考、實踐和創造活動中健康成長與全面發展”的教育理念，建設具有平和教育特征的課程體系，形成具有平和教育特色的成長課程，雙語課程，拓展課程，實踐體驗課程。課程類型分為基礎型課程，拓展型課程，探究型課程。音樂、美術、體育課程為平和學校小學部主課程。

初中部

課程設置

 按照“國家課程第一”原則，建設實施具有“平和教育”特征的課程體系，形成了不以分數為唯一目標的多元化評價機制，其指導思想是：“讓學生在思考、實踐和創造活動中健康成長與全面發展”，亦已形成了具有平和學校初中部特色的雙語課程、校本德育課程——成長課程、興趣類選修課程，拓展類限定選修課程、“學生三院”指導下的社團探究類活動課程、社會實踐課程，培養學生專長發展的藝術、體育課程等 

高中部

課程設置

三門核心課程是：
知識理論課――Theory of Knowledge，簡稱TOK
拓展論文――Extended Essay，簡稱EE
創造、活動與服務――Creativity, Action and service即CAS
這三門核心課程是IBO文憑項目課程設置獨特性的集中體現。
知識理論課（TOK）是一門必修的跨學科課程，目的是培養學生的判斷與綜合歸納能力，鼓勵學生對基礎知識進行質疑，防止主觀臆斷和思想意識上的偏見，增強學生以理性基礎進行分析和表達的能力。
拓展論文（EE）要求學生結合所學課程中的某一知識點進行獨立的調研，要能寫出4000字的文章。這項要求為學生提供了按自己興趣寫作論文的機會，并使學生熟悉獨立研究的方法，鍛煉寫作技巧。
CAS代表創造、行動與服務，鼓勵學生進行創新，提高藝術修養，進行堅持不懈的鍛煉，關心他人，發揮與別人合作的精神。

Since SPS's inception in 1996, the International Program strives to embody a rich multicultural experience of learning, through the knowledge and efforts of teachers,who help students to develop common values based on a safe and nurturing multicultural atmosphere that establishes global awareness as it model for learning.The program strives to develop a challenging yet creative curriculum, promoting students' well-roundedphysical, psychological and academic development with a student-cezntered bilingual approach.With the untiring, diversified, personal touch of both faculty and staff, the International Program aims to use its enthusiasm and dedication, assisting students to strive for academic excellence with a view to cultivating and producing Only the Best.
